The Nippon Art Bonsaiufountain pen features a gorgeous depiction of the fenghuang, or the “Chinese phoenix,” a traditional creature of Sinospheric mythology said to have, “made up of the beak of a rooster, the face of a swallow, the forehead of a fowl, the neck of a snake, the breast of a goose, the back of a tortoise, the hindquarters of a stag and the tail of a fish.”It is believed that the bird only appears in areas or places that are blessed with utmost peace and prosperity or happiness.
This Yukari-sized pen has a 14k gold nib in size #10, fills via cartridge/converter (a CON-70 is included), and comes packaged in a wooden box. Each pen takes months to create.
