WATER-WASHABLE OIL MEDIUM

This thin, water-soluble oil is a modified version of the medium used to manufacture Charbonnel Water-Washable Oils. Use a small amount of this low-viscosity medium to loosen up stiff inks, increasing their transparency and gloss.

INKS FOR MODERN PRINTMAKERS

These impressively pigmented, oil-based printmaking inks from Charbonnel have a special feature: they clean up easily with regular soap and water. In fact, these inks are actually easier to clean up than acrylics because they take so much longer to dry on the inking plate. Acrylics have to be scraped off, while Charbonnel Water-Washable Oils simply dissolve under hot water. No solvents or hazardous chemicals needed.

VERSATILE, INTENSE, LUXURIOUS

Charbonnel Water-Washable Inks roll out easily, mix beautifully, and can be modified with Charbonnel mediums to achieve almost any effect or technique in traditional printmaking. The most popular use for these inks is linocut printmaking, but they can also be used for woodcut, intaglio, etching, aquatint, mezzotint, and drypoint.
