It’s a porcelain brush rest, styled to look like a tube of Schmincke Horadam watercolor in cobalt turquoise (a signature color within Schmincke’s iconic watercolor range.)

Brush rests are great because they prevent damage to the table (which tends to absorb paint when you put a wet brush on it) and to the brush (which tends to get misshapen when left to dry in a puddle.)
