Carbon fiber was introduced by Hercules Aerospace for the space program. In 1981, a forward thinking Formula 1 race team secretly adopted it for a chassis and it took off from there. Stronger than steel and considerably lighter. Carbon fiber road wheels are priced from $10,000 to $20,000 a set!

Luckily, this Aspen is priced under $200. The lightweight of carbon fiber is nice but the look is just simply enticing. The beautiful weave of the carbon cloth is mesmerizing.

The fountain pen uses a medium nib and flows easily. It fills via a standard international cartridge or with a converter for bottle ink.
